Secretariat initiates dispute settlement procedures against Moldova, North Macedonia and Serbia for lack of transposition of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Directive 2014/52/EU
On 23 June 2021, the Energy Community Secretariat submitted Reasoned Requests to the Ministerial Council against Moldova, North Macedonia and Serbia for the lack of transposition of the (EIA) Directive 2014/52/EU amending Directive 2011/92/EU on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment. The deadline foreseen by the Energy Community acquis for transposition was 1 January 2019.
All requests for information should be addressed to the Legal Counsel at [email protected] or +43 1 535 2222 24 and should make reference to the relevant case numbers ECS-24/21 (Moldova), ECS-22/21 (North Macedonia) and ECS-23/21 (Serbia).
