Director meets with Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev
On 13 September, Director Janez Kopač met with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev. Director Kopač and Prime Minister Zaev discussed pending energy sector reforms, the gas interconnector with Greece, the introduction of carbon pricing and challenges of the energy transition. The Secretariat committed to support the energy transition in North Macedonia and help to ensure that it is just for everyone.
During his visit to Skopje, the Director also discussed key issues related to the implementation of the Energy Community Treaty with the Minister for Environment, Naser Nuredini.
He also met with the EU Ambassador to North Macedonia, David Geer, and US Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes.
